About Me
I hold a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA where I majored in English and minored in Communication. I completed my Masters Degree in Rhetoric and Composition at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where I also served as a graduate assistant teaching first year composition. In addition, I taught composition at Ivy Tech community College in Muncie. I have taken courses in Rhetoric and Writing at Virginia Tech and have also taught in the Universities Writing Program. I have been an instructor in the English Department at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA since 2010 and am currently the Book Club Coordinator for the Enhanced Writing Program. I also teach for The College of Online and Continuing Education at Southern New Hampshire University.
My research interests include first year composition pedagogy, digital writing, and the role of motherhood in academia. Personally, I like to spend my time reading, writing, painting, listening to music, watching NBA and college football, and going to concerts and the theater, although being a mom gives me little time for these anymore. I serve on the Board of Directors for the Raynham Association of Volunteers for Education. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and mentoring students.
