Week 3-  First Week of Book Club and Writing Fellow
Mon Feb 2 Due: One Pager #1. Post your Google Doc link (set to anyone with link can edit) in the One Pager Blackboard forum for today by the beginning of class time.  Read: Malcolm X excerpt (in readings on website) Discuss: Reading, narrative, sensory detail, Essay 1 
Wed Feb 4  Class Cancelled

Wed Feb 11 DIscuss: Recap essay 1 readings, Book Club Note Taking 
Fri Feb 13 Due: Essay #1 for Workshop. (Post your Google Doc link set to anyone with link can edit draft in Essay 2 draft forum on Blackboard) . Discuss: Introductions and workshop .

Wed Feb 18 Monday Schedule of Classes. Wed classes will not meet. 
Due: Essay #1 Due (10:10 class: group 1 @ 10:10, group 2 @ 10:35) (11:15 class: group 1 @ 11:15) Post essay to essay 1 final group forum by group meeting time. You must be present for your meeting time (with computer) to read your paper to your group and receive a grade.

Mon Mar 16 Due: One Pager #4. Special topic. Please write a journal about what you learned from Occupational Outlook Handbook that you can use for part II of essay 2. Be detailed and include data and details. Post your Google Doc link (set to anyone with link can edit) in the One Pager Blackboard forum for today by the beginning of class time. And Complete online assignment on the Padlet by 11:59 pm

Week 9- Book Club and Writing Fellow
Mon Mar 23 Read: Design Principles (in readings on website) Discuss: flyer design, integrating quotes from interview and secondary sources, work on flyers and essays 
Wed Mar 25 Due: Essay #2 for workshop. Post your Google Doc link (set to anyone with link can edit)  to the Essay #2 workshop forum by the beginning of class time. You must be present in class with your computer and essay posted to receive credit for your draft and to participate in workshop

Final  Exam:
Final Portfolios are due on Blackboard by the END of final exam time.  NO PORTFOLIOS WILL BE ACCEPTED LATE.
